Parking will be at the Jordan Jackson school and there will be busses bringing people to the event. There will be a parking map. Katharine and Gail are looking for volunteers and have shifts for people to set up. Volunteers will help with vendor set-up and registration, as well as other tasks. Abolition Day has been cancelled for that weekend. There will be children's activities, bands, llamas, beer garden, fire jugglers, public art, lantern launch, drummers, Copeland house tours, antique cars, food court, vendors, and craft fair. Friday Hours: 6:30-8:30 Saturday Hours: 12-5 Information Table: There is one table representing the Cultural Council, Downtown Committee, and Historical Commission. Lisa suggested that we complete our yearly survey at the table with a question and Chris will make it up. Grant Project - In the last month, Marc and Chris made a Mansfield Cultural calendar and a publication. Publication Marc has made a calendar. The calendar will not be able to be printed by the Fall Festival. Staples sell calendars at $15 per, VistaPrint has a discount based on number ordered. We will have a mock-up and possible order form for calendars at the Fall Festival. Jackie proposed that we should use the grant money solely on the calendar for this 2019 Grant. Jackie suggested that we should distribute the calendars freely as a promotional tool, and submit another Grant this cycle for further publications. There was a discussion on calendars instead being distrubed for a suggested donation. Sally will speak to the state about promotional materials and the ability to use a new fund for collected moneys, if we gain donations from a calendar sale. Jackie moved that the 2019 Grant moneys be used for calendars and that we ask for a Motion Approved. suggested donation for distribution, Lisa seconded, 3 abstentions. Sally suggested that we have a table for calendar donations at the winter Craft Fair. We are going to add a paragraph in the calendar as a promotional tool for the cultural council. Chris has made a publication as well. It was proposed that the next grant will cover the publication and the walking tour. The publication will integrate persons in town, such as the Mansfield Moon, Keep Mansfield Beautiful. There are sections on the impact on volunteering, DPW projects, WPA Monuments, Black History Section from Beth Danesco, Churches, Quotes from Residents for a Facebook Feeler that Chris will organize, Historical Society pictures, Memorial affairs, etc. Each section will have a splash page that contains local artists' works.
