Board of Selectmen Minutes of October 3, 2007 6 . General statement to the public from Selectman Levine. On August 28th the Town settled the Beliveau case. The judgment was paid and case closed by August 31st. On September 5th Selectman Levine pointed out the relationship between Selectman Dentino and Mr. Beliveau and his legal team. On September 14th an article was published in the Mansfield News than covered Mrs. Levine's rebuke of Mr. Dentino's actions and that same day Mr. Beliveau's attorney called Mrs. Levine at home and advised her to stop speaking about the case, her client and other people. She berated Mrs. Levine, the Board and the Town Manager for 25 minutes. Mrs. Levine stated that the article in the newspaper barely mentioned Mr. Beliveau, it was mostly about Mr. Dentino and his relationships. She further stated there must a reason why a high paid Boston attorney would still care about this. The case was over and she and her client had been paid. Selectman Levine feels that the "other people" the attorney kept mentioning must be behind this phone call and this was a blatant attempt to try and quiet her. Selectman Levine concluded in stating that the townspeople have never lost Mansfield so there is no need to "take back Mansfield", as a certain group has suggested.
