Update
the Mass Cultural Council website.
There are 329 cultural councils in
Massachusetts and over $ 4 million dollars
in grants this year, showing that the

few years and we should reach out to them
for archives of photos.
Chris suggested that when talking to

from their project on social media. Chris
noted that we may want to model some
comparison shots such as is done on the
Historical Society facebook page.
Chris noted that anyone who has contacts
should reach out to them about our project
and we are specifically looking for science.
Lisa noted that the project should
emphasize architecture, such as the various
churches in town. Sharon agreed and noted
that we should also focus on historic
buildings, such as the Chocolate Factory.
It was noted that publications are very
malleable and the council will have
discretion in our production.
Sally reminded the council that the grant
will need to submit receipts for the project
during this calendar year.

downtown stores to set up tables in front of
stores with backgammon sets to encourage
people to visit downtown. Marc can
circulate powerpoint of that proposal if
there's interest.
Arts Festival Discussion
Katharine was invited to a Downtown
Event meeting concerning the revival of
the Arts Festival.
There was discussion on how to expand
this festival. The festival is likely to be in
late September/early October and
discussion of Downtown Committee to
support this. The Town Manager is in
support of this festival.
The Festival may be moved to Rumford
Ave. and Fulton's Pond. Moving the
location will allow the festival to be larger
and allow us to collaborate with the
Historical Commission.
There is a site visit meeting on April 25th

Sharon noted that this could become
similar to an arts stroll. She also suggested
liaising with GATRA for mobility

Social Media Plan
Chris proposed a Social Media Plan. This
Discussion
will include some point person posting
every couple of days. We should consider
creating a subcommittee for social media
to execute this plan.
We should utilize our Facebook page to
promote ourselves, events, and the cultural
district. Currently, the Facebook page has
reached 3,000 page views. The council
should also consider adding a twitter page.
Eileen noted that we should emulate the
Historical Commission page and utilize
twitter.
Jackie suggested that we should emulate
the Foxboro Cultural Council page that
posts a lot.
General Discussion
Chris noted that members should stop
replying all in emails and instead use the
BCC function.
Sharon noted that the Town Master Plan
public meetings are coming up. It is
important to keep up with that process and
attend meetings.
Chris is looking to recruit some more
technical or science oriented members.
