The Meeting was called to order at 7:22 PM by Committee Member, Michael Forbes, and upon roll call, those present and absent were as follows: Present: Absent: Mary Kate Flynn n F= Elizabeth Dye — Sandra Martinellirn Michael Forbes n m Mr- A copy of the Notice of Meeting, pursuant to Section 23A of Chapter �f the m CDP General Laws, with the Certificate as to Service of Notice of Meeting ached thereto was read and ordered spread upon the Minutes of the Meeting and fled m for record. NOTICE OF MEETING Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 23A of Chapter 39 of the General Laws that a Meeting of the Mansfield Housing Authority Executive Director Search Committee will be held at 7:15 PM on May 2, 2018 at 22 Bicentennial Court, Mansfield, MA 02048. CERTIFICATE AS TO NOTICE OF MEETING (Section 23A, Chapter 39, General Laws) I, the undersigned, the duly appointed qualified Executive Director of the Mansfield Housing Authority do hereby certify that on April 25, 2018, 1 caused to be filed, in the manner provided by Section 23A, Chapter 39, General Laws, with the Clerk of the Town of Mansfield, Massachusetts, a Notice of Meeting of which the foregoing is a true and correct copy. IN TESTIMONY HEREOF, I have set my hand this 9th day of May, 2018. Michael Forbes, Committee Member & Acting Secretary Michael Forbes referred to Aaenda Item #1. Vote on the selection of a Chairperson. Michael Forbes nominated Elizabeth Dye for the position of Chairperson; Mary Kate Flynn seconded the nomination. There were no other nominations for Chairperson, Ms. Dye accepted the nomination and it was Voted to elect Elizabeth Dye to the position of Chairperson by a Vote of 4 to 0. The Chairperson stated on the record that having the discussion about the applicants for the Executive Director Position in an open session will be detrimental to the public body's ability to attract qualified applicants for the position. A Motion was made by Ms. Flynn and seconded by Ms. Martinelli to enter into Executive Session for the purpose of preliminarily screening applicants for the Executive Director Position. Upon Roll Call Vote, the Ayes and Nays were as follows: Aves: HA Elizabeth Dye Mary Kate Flynn Sandra Martinelli Michael Forbes The Chairperson declared the Motion passed by a Vote of 4- 0. The Chairperson announced that the Committee will be entering into Executive Session at 7:25 PM and will return to Open Session only to Adjourn. The Committee retuned to Open Session at 7:50 PM. E There being no further business to come before the - , Committee, a Motion was made by Ms. Flynn and seconded by Ms. Martinelli to Adjourn at 7:50 PM. Upon Vote, the Motion passed by a Vote of 4 to 0. An Executive Session to Preliminarily screen Applicants for the Executive Director position is listed on the Meeting's Agenda. The Chairperson stated that the purpose of this meeting was to preliminarily screen the applicants for the Mansfield Housing Authority Executive Director position and recommend finalist to be interviewed by the Mansfield Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. The Committee Members reviewed resumes and cover letters from 8 applicants for the Mansfield Housing Authority Executive Director position, The eight applicants were: Andrea J. McDougall of 36 Armor Lane, North Easton, MA. Sean G. Barnicle of 165 Codman Road, Norwood, MA. Bryan Spear of Raynham, MA. Amanda Cheverie of 23 Thomas Blanchard Drive, Plymouth, MA. Jared Haselton of 6 Mechanic Street, Attleboro, MA. Albert Polselli II of 11 Cooper Drive, Lincoln, RI. Marie McCabe of 48 Wexford Drive, Mansfield, MA. Ed Pearlman of 847 South Main Street, Bellingham, MA. After review & discussion of all of the Applicant's resumes, a Motion was made by Ms. Flynn and seconded by Ms. Martinelli to present candidates, Andrea J. McDougall of 36 Armor Lane, North Easton, MA, Sean G. Barnicle of 165 Codman Road, Norwood, MA and Bryan Spear of Raynham, MA as finalists to the Mansfield Housing Authority Board of Commissioners for Interviews. Upon Roll Call Vote, the Ayes and Nays were as follows: Ayes: Nays: Elizabeth Dye Mary Kate Flynn Sandra Martinelli Michael Forbes The Chairperson declared the Motion passed by a Vote of 4- 0. Mr. Forbes stated that he will contact the three finalists and attempt to schedule them to attend the Mansfield Housing Authority Board Meeting on May 71" for an interview with the full Board. 2 A Motion was then made by Ms. Flynn and seconded by Mr. Forbes to return to Open Session at 7:50 PM. Upon Roll Call Vote, the Ayes and Nays were as follows: Aves: Nays: Elizabeth Dye Mary Kate Flynn Sandra Martinelli Michael Forbes The Chairperson declared the Motion passed by a Vote of 4- 0.
