Mr. Kozlowsi asked for detail of thg Housing Authority's transition to the
Massachusetts centralized 6ublic Housing wait list (CHAMP). Ms. McDougall
explained that the DHCD began training Housing Authorities on the new online
system and were working on the migration of data from all of the Housing
Authorities. Ms. McDougall explained that the Mansfield Housing Authority had
been using a filemaker program for their waitlist, the migration of data was a little
more complex and had not been completed successfully to date.
Ms. Flynn asked how the centralized list would change things for the Housing
Authority. Ms. McDougall explained that the system was designed to allow
applicants the ability to apply online and specifically designate what Housing
Authority lists they wanted to be added to. Ms. McDougall explained that the
Housing Authority would be saving time and money by no longer being
responsible for maintaining the list and sending out updates, and theoretically,
there would be fewer applications needing to be input.
There were no further questions or comments from the Board on the Executive
Director's report.
