Litter Hot Spots
• Nancy and Neil have talked with the Police Chief about the areas in town that need
monitoring due to the excessive amount of litter. They are on board to provide
video cameras in the areas. More discussion and identification of the spots will be
done in the upcoming months.
• Areas that have already been identified are as follows: National Lumber, Francis
Avenue, area off of School Street, County Street, North Main Street (near King
Street), intersection of Route 140 and Route 106 by Stop & Shop, Erin's Corner, and
area near house that abuts Sweet Conservation (illegal dumping going on at that
location since every year Pac 7 & Pac 13 need to pull out all sorts of machinery, etc.),
• Mike H. agreed to draft a letter to the businesses whose areas are in need of cleanup.
He will write the letter with a positive spin, highlighting the importance and
business benefit of maintaining and beautifying their property.
• We had minor discussion on this, may need additional attention after Cleanup.
