PLANNING BOARD
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
In accordance with Chapter 40A of the Massaohusetts General Laws and the Mansfield Zoning By -Law,
the Mansfield Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 7:15 p.m. in
the Planning Board's meeting room at the Town Hall, Six Park Row, Mansfield, MA regarding Zoning
By -Law amendments to be considered at the 2018 Annual Town Meeting. The proposed amendments are
as follows:
*To amend the Zoning By -Law Section 230-1.5, Definitions, to add new definitions of Marquee sign, rear
wall sign, theatrical entertainment center, art gallery and museum; and to amend Section 230-4.7, Signs,
Paragraph B to add the Planned Business District (PBD) and Reservoir District (RD); to amend Paragraph
B(1) to add monument sign; and to add new Paragraph B(3) to define rear wall signs in the Industrial
zones, PBD and RD;
*To amend Zoning By -Law Section 230-4.4, Off -Street Parking and Loading to change the minimum
number of required off-street parking spaces for the uses listed under "general business or commercial" in
the Business 1 and Business 2 Zones to I per 500 square feet of gross floor area; and to change the
minimum number of required off-street parking spaces for "restaurant" in the Business 1 and Business 2
Zones to I space per 500 square feet of gross floor area;
*To amend the Town of Mansfield Zoning Bylaw to add a new Zoning By -Law Section 230-3.4L,
Planned Business District Marijuana Cultivation Overlay District and to establish the Planned Business
District Marijuana Cultivation Overlay District per the plan titled Southwest PBD Cultivation Overlay
District, dated February 16, 2018;
* To amend the Town of Mansfield Zoning Bylaw to add the following Zoning By -Law Section 230-
3AL, Route 140 Industrial I Retail Recreational Marijuana Overlay District and to establish the Route
140 Industrial 1 Retail Recreational Marijuana Overlay District per the plan titled Route 140 Industrial 1
Retail Recreational Marijuana Overlay District, dated February 28, 2018;
*And to petition Town Meeting to adopt the provisions of MGL Ch. 64N, Section 3, a three percent
(3%) Local Option Tax, on the sale of recreational marijuana.
