The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Motion: To approve the minutes from Sept. 20, 2018. Passes.
ACO's Report
• Trainer Lee Desmaris had been working with Titan. Jeff reported that the dog can be
rough when he plays. The red marks on Titan's chest are from an abrasion, and
should disappear with time.
• Faye, the Foxboro dog on a bite hold, was PTS.
• Lacey's court case is still pending. After receiving a negative court decision, the
owners are appealing to superior court. It could take up to 90 days to determine if the
appeal has merit.
Maintenance
• Jeff thinks the cleaners no longer come to the shelter because a new cleaning service
was hired. We will need to notify Mike Ahern that the shelter is no longer on the list
to be cleaned.
• Ana continues to meet with Mike Ahern to plan and implement the dog play area
fencing.
