Meeting Minutes for
October 30, 2018 Monday, 7:00 pm, MBC Room 3`d floor
Town Hall
Attendees: Nancy Wall, Pat Colbert, Mike McCarthy, Jeff Ward, Mike Healey, Ana Newell, and
Janice Wivagg
Absent: Jason Dodd, Martha O'Connell

Welcome & Call to Order
• Meeting called to order at 7:00pm.
Minutes accepted from previous meeting and signed by Pat Colbert.
Treasurer's report
• The current balance is $18,796. Also have $2,093 at Mansfield Bank and a check for $500.
High School Environmental Chub
• Two inspiring high school students (tizzy and Sethu) talked about the Environmental
Club's initiatives:
o Tree -Planting: students are going to plant trees in the spring to offset carbon footprint
o School Cleanup: Nov. le -12'h. KMB to provide trash and recycle bags
• We agreed that we'd be willing to consider funding them since our values are aligned
provided they provide proper documentation
Community Service Award
• The deadline for nomination is Dec. 3r°
• We certainly have some noteworthy candidates in this group
Flower Barrels
• The begonias were a success this year
• The Flower Barrbli Program did not break even - $1,674 shortage
• We talked about including small flags from Memorial Day to,4'h of July
Message Boards
• The idea to cleanup/refurbish the Message Boards next to the bike path was brought up
and liked by all
• Talked about adding NRT maps
• Pat, Jeff and Nancy have volunteered for this project
• Nails/pins have already been taken out and we're considering cleaning/painting shingles
Litter Busters
• We talked about utilizing the street map technology to support Litter Busters
Mike and Nancy volunteered to explore this
Fundraising Letter
• Needs to go out in February
Next meeting date is Tuesday, December 11th at 7:00 at the Town Hall
