The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve the minutes from August 16, 2018. Passes.
ACO's Report
• The tri -town agreement for shared shelter responsibilities is still under review, but
since there are few or no advantages to Mansfield, the arrangement is a low priority at
town hall.
• Jeff will get a basket muzzle so that he can evaluate Daphne with children and other
dogs. Carol will email a request, and Jeff will post a note on Daphne's kennel, that
only shift captains should walk Daphne until her evaluation is complete.
Maintenance
• Carol will include in her email a request for shift captains and volunteers to make a
greater effort to keep the shelter clean and tidy, and to look around the shelter at the
end of each shift to make sure that nothing is left lying about that should be put away
or cleaned, and that the �belter is in good shape for the next shift that comes in.
• Ana will meet Mike Abern at the shelter to review fencing for the dog pen.
