Non -Profit Gift Fund Committee Minutes
March 10, 2010
Members Present: Charles Boehm, Lorilee Fish, Kevin McNatt, Nancy Wall
Absent: Rose Bryant
1. The meeting opened at 7:40pm.
2. The minutes of March 25, 2009 meeting were accepted. Motion made by Chuck Boehm to accept
the minutes, seconded by Nancy Wall, all in favor.
3. Election of Officers: Motion made by Chuck Boehm to have the present officers retained for the
2010 year as constituted, 2"d by Nancy Wall. All in favor.
4. Old Business:
Members discussed the 2007 — 2009 grants and their standing. Three grants were extended to
2010 and are as follows:
a. Springbrook Cemetery: Extension and completion of the irrigation system in the cemetery.
b. Cemetery Restoration Project to 2010
c. Stone stairs at Memorial Park to 2010
5. New Business:
a. The NPO Fund received a check for $32,500 from the Tiger Woods/Deutsche Bank
b. Returned funds: MIDS $487.11 and Mansfield Historical Society $480.00 ($967.11)
c. Balance in account from 2009: $18.75
d. Total to be distributed: $33,477.86
6. The following grants we approved and forwarded to the Board of Selectmen for their or approval:
a. Government:
1. Mansfield Animal Shelter $5,000 AC components for HVAC
2. Beautification Committee $7,000 labor and materials for stone wall at recycling
center on East St and $1,200 for a new town sign on the North Common
3. Mansfield Library$2,575 Purchase of DVD's and materials to assist w/job search for
unemployed adults.
4. Veterans' Agent $6,195 to replace Veterans' Memorial on East Common
b. Schools:
1. Band Parents ($10,000 request) $9,795.00 to purchase marimba and vibraphone
e. Other:
1. MIDS $1,712 to purchase equipment and develop website
d. Total Grants: $33,477.00 Balance in account: $.86
e. Motion made by Chuck Boehm and 2nd by Nancy Wall to accept the above list of grants and
to forward to the Board of Selectmen for their approval and distribution of funds.
Motion made by Nancy Wall to adjourn, seconded by Chuck Boehm, all in favor.
