April 22, 2015
Members Present: Kevin McNatt, Chairman; Nancy Wall, Vice -Chairman; Lorilee Fish, Secretary;
Charles Boehm, Rosemarie Sirois
1. Open Meeting 7:05pm
2. Election of officers:
• Motion made by Rosemarie Sirois to nominate Kevin McNatt for Chairman, 2nd by Nancy
Wall, all in favor.
Motion made by Chuck Boehm to nominate Nancy Wall for Vice -Chairman, 2nd by
Rosemarie Shois, all in favor.
Motion made by Rosemarie Sirois to nominate Lorilee Fish for Secretary, 2"d by Nancy Wall,
all in favor.
3. Motion made by Chuck Boehm to accept the May 7, 2014 minutes, 2"d by Nancy Wall, four in
favor, one abstention.
4. Update and Discussion of Past Grants
UPDATE: Grants:
• Park & Recreation: Motion made by Chuck Boehm to approve an extension for the Cemetery
Restoration project, 2"d by Nancy Wall, all in favor One year extension granted 2014, 2015
($1,000)
• Mural Committee: Motion made by Chuck Boehm to approve an extension for the outdoor
"Key" of the historic events shown in the wall mural and the creation and printing of a
brochure for the mural, 2"d by Rosemarie Sirois. One year extension granted 2014, 2015 to
2016 (Key $5,000, brochure $2,560) Three in favor, 2 abstentions.
• Doll E. Daze: Chuck suggested that a letter must be received for a one year extension to be
granted or return funds and request a new grant for 2016. A letter was sent.
• Letter sent to Pop Warner Board of Directors concerning receipts for funds spent to buy youth
size T-shirts when only adult sizes were approved. ($373.00) No reply
TOWN:
Parks & Recreation Department:
• Tennis Program: Lobster Machine ($ 1,917.) Completed
• Movies with the Stars: New Movie Screen ($690.) Completed
• Friends of Memorial Park: Banner for Rte. 106 —Fund Raising Projects. ($690) Completed
• Mansfield Girls Softball Assoc.: Renovation of 2 softball fields, East Street and QMS
($10,350) Completed
SCHOOLS:
Band Parents:
• Purchase a Glockenspiel Check reissued ($4,510) Completed .
OTHER:
Our Daily Bread:
• Purchase commercial carpet cleaner and replace window ($800.) Completed
Pop Warner Football:
• Purchase uniforms for new older age category of player ($3,040) Balance of $373 owed to
NPGF — did not follow criteria as stated in Committee's letter to Pop Warner. On hold
2015 Grant Requests:

Parks & Recreation:
• Purchase a secure utility box for Lobster machine $615
• Update "Hornet's Nest" for Summer Camp $920.11 ($1,050.00)
Friends of Memorial Park
**Denied yearly operating expense - To pay Race Company to run the "Turkey Trot" in Nov. $1,250
Beautification Committee:
• Purchase pole trash receptacles for North Main and Old Colony Road area $2,450.
Mural Committee:
*Denied: yearly operating expense —To pay the artist in the last phase of the mural $5,000
SCHOOLS:
Band Parents
**Denied: yearly operating expense —Purchase anew floor for Color Guard $3,500
**Denied: yearly operating expense — Purchase sound mixing console for Percussion ensemble
The Fund has already purchased both pieces of equipment
OTHER:

* *Denied: responsibility of property owner - Roof over waiting area and the original pantry $3,500
**Denied: responsibility of property owner — Pave area behind food pantry to storage to area where
patrons walk $4,000
MMAS
• Sound equipment upgrade: Audio mixer, Wireless mic package, computer $4,700
Spring Brook Cemetery Corp.
0 Repair roof, cellar entry upgrade, front entrance maintenance $16,200.
Motion made by Chuck Boehm to accept the above recommended grants to be submitted to the Board
of Selectmen for final approval, 2nd by Rosemarie Sirois with the following abstentions:
• Park & Recreation: Lorilee Fish
• Mansfield Girls Softball: Lorilee Fish
• Beautification Committee Projects and Mural Project: Nancy Wall
• Mural Project: Kevin McNatt
Grant money approved: $25,065.00
Balance in Account: $47.19
A motion was made by Chuck Boehm to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by Nancy Wall,
All in favor.
Meeting adjourned at 8:37pm.
