Discussions:
The following is a brief summary of discussions:
1. Community Updates
• Mansfield — No change.
• Foxboro — The Patriots facilitated a meeting with town representatives, State Reps
and potential funding agencies. Many issues on the table with little consensus
developed. Future meetings to be scheduled.
• Norton — State Reps held a meeting with Wheaton representatives. All parties still
interested. Wheaton wants to see some final costs and want their flow
commitment assured. They also sent another letter to DEP asking for confirmation
of process to move their existing discharge permit flow to the Mansfield WPCF.
There was also some discussion again about what costs Wheaton should pay for
as part of their connection to the District facility.
2. Potential Funding
• Jay Barrows discussed the Housing and Economic Development Funding
application. Nothing new to report. Rep Barrows is trying to set up a meeting with
thatagency.
3. Mansfield - Foxborough- Norton District Legislation
• Attorney Doug Wilkins from Anderson & Kreiger LLis revising the Special
Legislation based on comments from last meeting. Nothing new to review yet.
• Much of the discussion centered around what should be incorporated in the r"t
District wastewater system and what should remain with the towns. No consensus
a
developed yet on the system pumping stations which appear to be the best
dividing line.
4. Other Items
• IMA Meeting Minutes of May 5th were approved.
5. Action Items
• IMA Members to submit comments on Draft District Agreement to Lee Azinheira
prior to next meeting.
• Lee Azinheira to review potential ftmding sources and firms for conducting land
appraisals
