Discussions:
The IMA Study Group invited the Norton and Mansfield Boards of Selectmen to discuss
the process for moving forward with Mansfield purchasing the Kok Property in Norton.
The following is a brief summary of discussions:
1. Discussion on Purchase of Kok Property
• Lee Azinheira indicated he received a letter from MassDEP dated 8 -31 -10
approving the Hydrogeological Study conducted by CDM on the Reilly and Kok
properties. Thus, Mansfield can move forward and utilize their authorization to
purchase the Kok property at this time.
Selectman Kimball expressed his concern that Norton residents clearly understand
it is all three communities purchasing the Kok property and not just Mansfield.
Everyone needs to spread that message.
All parties agreed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Norton and
Mansfield would be appropriate that explained the reason for purchase by
Mansfield and the overall purpose for its future use. Town Managers will work
