Present from Old Colony Habitat were Joanne Eckerdt, Tom Lamont, and Douglas Lee. Citizens present
were Catherine and Erich Fradenburg who are neighbors to the property at 10 Columbine.
Marilyn moved and Lou seconded that minutes of the previous meeting be tabled for further work until the next meeting.
The motion passed unanimously.
The main agenda item was to discuss the 10 Columbine property and to see if Habitat was still interested in going forward
with the project. Marilyn described the project as providing a non -conforming lotwhich does not appear
to meet the R2 size and setback requirements and to provide for the property approximately 210 feet of
sewerage connection for the property. It was noted that 3 laterals might also be involved along that
access route. That may require additional discussion.
The Board will have to go to the ZBA (zoning board of appeals) for a variance on the house. Our intent is
to provide the lot with the ability to sustain a 3 -bedroom house. And, it was question if there is anything
we can do down the road (no pun intended).
Our visitors asked how soon the project might get going and how soon the property might get cleaned up. We are unable
to provide an exact timetable yet and information was taken to be able to contact the Fradenburgs further
as things developed.
Joanne said that getting going is always somewhat of a political process. Her organization is still very much interested in
pursuing this project and she will get back to us with a formal response to our offer.
Connie indicated that we are interested in getting all of the lawyers (for each party to this process) together to get the deal
done as expeditiously as possible. If we are unable to get a building permit for this project, however, we
do not want the land!, so we must still understand all that we have to do.
Upon departure of our guests and visitors Scheduling for the next and future meetings was discussed briefly with the hope
to meet on the third Wednesday of each month plus any other meetings that might be needed August 23rd
is the next projected meeting date.
Marilyn moved adjournment and it passed unanimously at 8:08 PM
Respectfully submitted,
Louis P. Amoruso, Secretary
