The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve the minutes from March 15`h, 2018. Passes.
Veterinary -+Cats
• Erika will go to the shelter on May 4th to give distemper boosters to Chip and
Dale.
• Fiddlestix needs dental surgery to remove a fractured and impacted tooth. He has
an appointment scheduled at Angell, which is the only clinic where Jeff could find
a dental specialist available for appointments. The appointments are not until
August, because Fiddlestix has to finish his quarantine first.
• Erika will include microscopic ear exams, to check for mites, to her intake exam
procedures. Sharon will apply Revolution to Chip and Dale in case they have ear
mites.
• Grey had blood drawn at MAH, for a CBC panel and to retest for toxoplasmosis.
Lab results must show a healthy immune system before she can be vaccinated and
spayed.
• Gemie, who was surrendered for rectal or vaginal bleeding, will be observed, and
taken to Denise if she shows symptoms.
