An open meeting of the Mansfield School Committee was held at Town Hall on Thurs*W,R

was called to order by Lynn Cavicchi at 7 p.m.

Also present: Superintendent Teresa Murphy
Finance Committee Chair Walter Wilk explained the purpose of the joint meeting was to give an update on the
proposed FY19 budget. Walter thanked the boards and town and school officials for their work and said the
operating budget is balanced and that later in its meeting, the Finance Committee would be reviewing the
recommendations for the capital improvements program FY19 requests. Michael Trowbridge, Chair of the BOS,
said the BOS would be voting on the operating and capital budget at their meeting on April 25. Both Town
Manager Kevin Dumas and Superintendent Murphy expressed their appreciation for how smoothly the budget
process had gone this year. Seeing there were no other points of discussion, Lynn Cavicchi called for a motion to
adjourn the School Committee meeting at 7:05 p.m. A motion was made by Linda Fernando and seconded by
Jenn Walsh.
