The entrance is presently unmarked. The sign will be approximately 5 feet wide and 4 feet high. The sign will be attached to a frame using pressure treated wood and be elevated 2-3 feet off the ground. The sign will display a trail map, the name of the conservation area and a message board for posting notices. He has not decided how the sign will be lettered. This summer, Jay will try to raise funds for the project through car washes, candy sales and donations. Cindy did a site walk today and told the Commission grass clippings and cement have been dumped into the wetlands. She said the debris was also in the 25 ft. buffer zone and wanted to know if it was allowed in the 25 ft. She asked if the issuance of the Certificate of Compliance could be postponed until the grass and concrete debris is removed. Michele told Cindy nothing can go into the wetlands or the buffer and until it has been cleaned up to her satisfaction, the COC will not be issued. Michele will let the Gioivaniellos know the wetlands and 25 ft. area need to be cleared and r no further dumping is to be allowed. Cindy made the motion to hold the Certificate of Compliance until the grass clippings and cement have been removed from the wetlands/25 ft. area. Carole seconded. Passed 4-0.
