b. Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan - Agent attended September 17th Public
Hearing and was disappointed in the Draft Plan. Previously, CDM was told that the
pumping records they used in their analysis were not accurate and should not be used.
There were many duplicate pumping records. Agent contacted 6 residents Where
duplicate records were shown and all 6 stated that their systems were pumped only once.
Therefore, based on that and other factors, Agent feels the analysis is not an accurate
account of the condition of the septic systems in Town as portrayed by the CWMP. Agent
also stated he felt CDM went out of their way to show the "worst case" scenarios. He will
follow progress closely.
c. Household Hazardous Waste - Four Request For Proposals were sent out on August
26th. Only 1 bid was received. Agent phoned the companies and found that four
companies merged into two. One company has not had a chance to look at the proposal
and was too busy to bid. The one bid received was not cost effective and Agent
recommended to not hold the HHW Collection this year and hold it in the spring.
MOTION: To postpone Household Hazardous Waste Collection this fall and Hold it in
the spring.
