The Town of Mansfield invites sealed bids from interested contractors for "RFB#
DPW/CMPLEX 17-05 New Traffic Signal's Installation and Related Works" in
Mansfield, Massachusetts, in accordance with the specifications and documents.
The Town of Mansfield will receive sealed bids at the DPW Office until 10:OOAM on
February 21, 2017 at which time they shall be opened and read aloud. Bids must be in
a sealed envelope and on the outside be clearly marked with the date and description
of the bid. Bids received after the hour named will not be considered.
The Project consists of: New Traffic signals and Fire Preemption system for new
municipal complex and the complete signalization of the East Street and Pratt Street
intersection and related works.
Wage rates as determined by the Mass. Commissioners of the Department of Labor
and Industries apply to this project. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in
an amount that is no less than five (5%) percent of the proposal amount made
payable to The Town of Mansfield. Bid deposits shall be a certified check, bid bond,
treasurer's check or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. A
Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Certificate of Insurance will be
required. Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with the General Laws, M.G.L.
c. 149, 5544A et seq., M.G.L. c. 30, 539M, and M.G.L. c. 29, 529 as most recently
amended and other applicable laws.

Contractors are required to be Mass DOT prequalified to bid on this work.
The Town of Mansfield reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or to
accept any bid or portion thereof deemed by them to be in the best interest of the
Town. Bidders are reminded that the Town Officials other than those listed above
neither individually not collectively are to be contacted, nor will they discuss any bids
prior to the scheduled opening. Prior questions or concerns about the bid should be
