RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES
FEBRUARY 27, 1989
MEMBERS ABSENT: Linda Anteski and Allan Johnson
The meeting opened at 7:00 p.m.
The Commissioners were given a copy of a memO from the
Town Manager on the State's Conflict of Interest Law. Steve
requested that the Commissioners make themselves familiar
with the contents.
On Thursday, March 9, 1989 the Recreation Commission and
the Conservation Commission will be holding a joint meeting
on the Open Space/Land Acquisition Program. Steve urged all

members to attend this meeting.
Lnrilee listed the correspondence that she pent out this
week. Steve informed all the Commissioners that the
correspondence will be in the file for reading.
Dick suggested that we plan to hold the ice skating
party earlier in the year. He feels that February and March
are too late in the season to count on good ice conditions.
Lorilee suggested that we pay Steve Bishop because he
kept open the time an his calendar when we had to cancel the
skating party. Lorilee feels that this goodwill is necessary
because he could have charged us his regular fee. Charlotte
makes a motion to pay Steve $25.00, Dirk seconds the motion.
Lorilee gave a report on the new accounting procedures
that will be used to track the fees generated from park use
and certain recreation programs. This income will he used to
fund the new assistant directors position.
Steve and Lnrilee will be appearing before the Selectmen
to discuss the budget. Steve will ask for monies to fund the
new position.
The Little League contract with Conservation and
Recreation was reviewed, It will be in the files to he
signed by all Commissioners.
