account and the June 30, 1992 fiscal year closing.
PLYMOUTH STREET
Wayne has to set a date with Ed Tartufo regarding the Plymouth
Street Facility.
GARAGE SALE
There were a lot of different items being sold. Everyone had
fun. The Garage Sale itself went off well and was a beautiful
day for it. Betty was concerned about the man who drove his
truck onto the Common. Lorilee did talk to this man. Merchants
did very well on South Main Street. There were traffic jams
through the town all day. A space sold for $10.00. Yankee No-
tions played from 10:00 a.m. to Noon and then D.J. Ricky played
from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. A huge success - 74 spaces were sold.

TOGETHER WE CAN
Report from Betty: Dick Armor and about 15 other people were at
this meeting. September 4, 1992 is our next meeting. There will
be a public forum in October. The first meeting was very good,
but the meetings, so far, have not progressed. Commission would
like to know how they track the progress being made in the Town.
Bill suggests maybe a survey can go around to the schools. Com-
mission also would like to know how the west coast has made out
and how do they go about determining progress, etc. Betty will
find out answers to these questions at the next meeting.
SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIP LETTERS
The letters have gone out to the parents of the scholarship
children asking them what weeks they would like their child to
attend the camp. Lorilee is stopping at 150 children per week.
She will then put the scholarship children in on the slow weeks.
Commission feels they can give the scholarship children an extra
week if it comes down to laying off counselors for the last week.
At the next Recreation Meeting the Commission will decide if the
scholarship children get two weeks. Fifty-eight requests for
scholarships, nineteen of which are purchasing extra weeks.
BASKETBALL
Lorilee had to cancel basketball due to the rain. Their first
game was suppose to be tonight. RAINED OUT.
TOWN HALL SUMMER HOURS
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays the Town Hall will be open from
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.;
and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. These hours will be in
effect until September 4, 1992.
CLEANING FOR THE DUCK RACE
Volunteers are cleaning the river (from Fulton's Pond to Kingman
Pond) on Saturday, June 13th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Volun-
teers need to wear waders and gloves. Twigs and branches need to
be pulled out of the water. Ron Reeves and Bill Ciavarra will
try to be there.

DONATIONS FOR THE DUCK RACE
We have started to receive donation prizes for the duck race on
June 24th. Accufex has donated a $50.00 gift certificate to
LaDonna Restaurant, and Linda Jodice has donated a cut and blow
dry at her salon. Lorilee told the Commission that she has
received about 10 gifts all together, but off the top of her
head, she cannot think of everything that was donated. Hopefully
there will be between 20 to 25 prizes.
The Recreation Department has sold approximately 183 ducks.
Anyone who wishes may purchase a duck for $1.00, between 7:00
p.m. and 7:30 p.m., the night of the race. Beauty and the Beast
will start around 8:30 p.m.

June 19, 1992.
RECREATION CENTER
The Commission talked about approaching the owners of Sannies
about donating the building to the Town for a recreation Center.
Ron will comprise a letter to the owner of Sannies stating his
interest in the building. They would like to use the bigger of
the two buildings and leave it in his name (Sannies). There is
definitely a great need in the town for a recreation center. It
is in an ideal location. Would like to have Ed Tartufo, Chairman
of the Board of Selectmen, sign the letter also.
