Summer Camp Committee Report -.Bill Ciavarra,'Chairman for the summer camp
committee and his board members will meet on February 22, 1993 at 6:30 P.M.
for the final discussion of what the cost of camp will be this year, trips
and camp activities, and also the need for a summer camp secretary.
Lorilee noted that everything for summer camp has to be finalized on
February 22 so that the camp brochure can be sent to the printer.
Ice Technology- Still trying to get the ice down. The Ice Skating Party
had to be moved to Fulton's Pond. Lorilee explained to the board that she
is still experiencing melt down as soon as the sun ,comes out. We have used
all of the base ice.
Lorilee feels it is useless to continue the process. She has called the
company and they cannot understand what is going on.
Lorilee asked the company if they ever gave refunds and the gentleman she
spoke with will discuss this with his office. Lorilee suggested to the board
that she should write Ice Technology a formal letter listing our expenses,
the overtime involved and total cost of this project and ask for a refund.
We cannot afford anymore overtime on this project as both overtime accounts
are basically gone and we will have to use the Revolving Account if you want
to continue the water layering process.
Betty asked what is the alternative for the ice technology?
The consensus was to move to Fulton's Pond.
Bill suggested that we should leave what is there and see what happens.
The board decided that a letter should be sent to the company.'
Statement on Children's pickup time- Lorilee suggested to the board that
a pickup policy should be decided on for all recreation programs. She passed
out a copy of the statement made by the library on their policy of picking
up children after the library closes.
Ron commented that should there be a problem about kids not being picked
up on time; what should be the ,policy?
The general consensus of the board is that we need a policy on this matter.
Betty suggested that we put a statement in the newspaper.
Suggestions; were also made to have the policy printed into all recreation
program applications. More discussions on this matter for next week.
Programs fees - For next meeting Ron would like to discuss the cost of the
fees for all of our programs
Adjournment.
