MINUTES•
Maryanne motioned to accept minutes of November 1 and 15th.
Betty seconds, all in favor.
CORRESPONDENCE:
Community Calendar coordinator job description was completed
and we will be advertising to fill the position in the Mansfield
News.
Memo was sent to Town Manager, Bill Williams in reference to
reinstatement of the grounds keeper position.
TABLED:
Positioning Workshop - questionnaire
Park Row - presentation made to selectmen on November 3rd.
Volleyball Court - will, be open this spring.
BUSINESS•
FYI - The [Mansfield Cultural Council has tentatively approved
$200 for use in the Art in the Park summer 1994 program. Money
from the State has not yet been confirmed.
Metro West League - The league started this past Sunday and
everything went smoothly. The girls received their uniforms.
What the league would like to do is to replace uniforms every
other year, this year for the girls, next year for the boys.
Youth Basketball registration - Grades 1-2 session A and grades
3 P, 4 "I" are full. The other grades and times are still open.
Cut off date for Grades 1-4 December 20, 1993.
Cut off date for Grades 5-8 December 10, 1993.
Lorilee commented that we still need coaches.
Tree lighting Ceremony Monday, November 29, 1993 - A mild
j
evening, 20 gallons of cocoa, alot of coffee and a good time
was had by all.
Recreation Community Calendar - Lorilee reported to the board
that the ad for the position was advertised in the newspaper
Friday and will go in again December 10th with the final date
of December 17th. Interviews will begin in January of 1994.
Lorilee reported to the board that we have sent out 3
applications and received one phone call.
Midget Football - Lorilee reported to the board that Midget
Football owes (,424.20 as of November. 3, 1993. The bill has
been sent and no payment has been received. They also failed
to clean the park the last three times they had games and Fred
did the cleanup work. Lorilee suggested to the board that they
be billed for the cleanup.
Discussion from the board. Ron suggested that they be billed
for only one cleanup but in the future they will be billed for
all cleanups of the field. They wiil be billed ";50 for cleanup
charges.
Betty suggested that we should give them a date for payment
of the balance owed and the cost of cleanup of the field or
they cannot use the field next year.
Bill suggested a deposit of >500 before season begins.
The boards decision - Lorilee will write a letter stating that
this balance must be paid in full by January 31, 1994, plus
the fee for one cleanup or they cannot use the field.
Budget meeting with Town Manager - Duties of Parks will be turned
over to Highway Department including all equipment and all line
items.
Skating Party - Advertising will begin December 26th.
Betty motions to cancel December 20th meeting, Maryanne seconds,
all in favor.
