Mark Cook is going to lay down sod on Memorial Park football field after this fall season. The
cost is estimated at .24/square foot. He suggested sodding between the hash marks, although it
could be possible to resod the whole field. Mark will get an estimate on resodding the entire field.
Dave Leary will write a letter to MHS representatives (John Moretti, Margaret Conaty, etc,)
stating that instead of an $8,000 cost of transporting kids to Plymouth Street, they can contribute
funds to repair the field after the fall season.
Mike Ahern update on basketball courts at Memorial Park - Situation is turned over to DEP, and
will hopefully be funded by a Reserve Fund Transfer. Mike says that it will be unlikely for anyone
to play on these courts this summer, but we have to wait for the DEP report to make any final
decisions. Mike and Lorilee will be meeting with Penney Engineering on Friday, April 9 at 10:00
am to get final results of core tests.
