2. Approval of Minutes:
Minutes of the Recreation Commission Meeting held on November 13, 2000.
Motion: By Jim Leaverton to accept the minutes from November 13, 2000.
Seconded by Lynne McDonnell. All in favor. Motion passes, 3-0.
3. Reservation Requests:
A. Revised 2001 Draft Field Reservation Form from 11/13/00 meeting
Jim Leaverton had requested the following addendum to the Field Reservation Form:
Private/Profit Events/Leagues will be charged $10.00 per hour for field use, with a
minimum of 1.5 hours per reservation. This was added and the form was adopted.
Four permit holders have outstanding balances. It is believed that Tim Herron did not use
his field time, but he has yet to confirm this with Lorilee. His charges will probably be
taken off the books.
Policies for granting field use permits were explained briefly to Caren Levine, along with
information regarding those parties who usually requested permits.

Kathy Codella summarized the survey. 43 were returned and most were positive.
Only four families stated they would not return, and only three stated they would not
recommend the camp to others. Most people praised the abilities of the counselors and
how smooth the camp ran despite the problem with facilities this year.
7. New Business:
A. Budget and CIP
Lorilee Fish spoke to Lee Azinheira regarding DPW taking over payment of the
water, heat, and electricity bills. Lee agreed that this made sense so they will be taking
this over.
The Commission discussed the suggested amounts for funding lighting at Plymouth
Street. David Leary suggested that for 2001 this amount be increased to $150,000 and to
$250,000 in 2002. The members and the Director agreed upon this suggestion.
B. Memorial Park Playground Equipment
The freight company called today to schedule shipping for Memorial Park
equipment.
