June 19, 1978
Convened at 10:15 a.m, with President Dolores Benson presiding. Also
present were Linda Martinelli, Edwedge McCausland, Betty Mugford, and
Dorothy Fielding. Absent: Harry Nordberg & Brad Dauphinee.
Minutes of June 19 were read. Motion to accept Betty Piugford/Edwedge
McCausland. Voted.
Treasurer's report: Motion to accept Linda Martinelli/Dorothy Fielding.
Voted.
Advisory Committee members present: Louise Bisbee & Duncan Goodwin and
Phil Connor.
On the Friendly Travel Agency, money gift,when we get it to be deposited
in custodial account.
Margo will get in touch with Ann Darling, Rehoboth about our meeting with
them regarding GATRA.
GATRA expects our answer by July 17, 1978.
Minibus: Dolores says she will talk with Town Manager for permission to
use trade-in money towards purchase of new one. Motion by Edwedge McCausland/
Linda Martinelli to contact Town Manager to get bids on new bus. Voted.
On our bid for a new DIC we should receive an answer by July 12, 1978.
Margo announced an offer of a pool table from Housing Authority to the
DIC, (Council accepts).
Margo also announced that requests by Seniors to go to the Walpole Mall.
Council agrees for a once a month trip there.
Macrame Classes will not be held during July & August.
The Council on Aging will sponsor a Newport bus trip on the 18th July.
The minutes of the "Friends" last meeting were read.
Margo to post notice in Mansfield News of what benefits/prograxas are
available for Senior Citizens.
