Although it is expected to last the winter, a new one should replace it in the Spring. The radiator has extra stress on it due to the fact that the bus spends time idling during many stops, while people alight and depart. While it was out of service, the Escort Service was employed. A question was raised about using one of the School Town Vans, under such circumstances. Bob will investigate the possibility. The program "Growing Up in America" on September 20th was successful. The Friends are enthusiastic about supporting a new Mini -Bus. $114.00 was realized from the sale of clothes donated by "Styles Unlimited" when they went out of business last year. Ada has also received $600.00 in several gifts to be deposited in the Friends account. New Business: The F4-86 operating Budget is due November lst. Three options are requested:- Level, 10% Reduction, and Ideal. After much discussion, we decided that there is no area of our budget which can be reduced without having a negative effect on our services to Mansfield Senior Citizens. Having reviewed expenses this past year, we realize that we can't even hold to the level option either. Therefore, we voted to go with the "ideal option" with a 15% over-all increase. We then moved line by line with review of actual expenses, and projected increases, to decide on how much to increase each item. At 9:25 p.m.we moved to adjourn with the agreement to return on Tuesday, October 23rd, at 8:00 p.m. to complete the budget review and request forms. Respectfully submitted, Patricia J. Hume, Secretary
