Old Business
Gatra contract review: Gale, Bob, the Town 'Vfanager and Paul O'Neill
met to discuss the details of the contract.
Driver Training: The drivers will need 'training in CPR, First Aid,
and Sensitivity. Probably one session at Southwood Hospital will cover
the necessary requirements.
Scheduled trips to Foxboro, at least twice per week.
A great deal of paper work needs to be done by January 15th.
A one year contract is the law, therefore we cannot sign a three
year, contract.
Once the contract is signed, the paperwork will begin as will
reimbursement to the town on our old bus. A new bus hopefully will
be delivered by summer.
The question was .raised as to whether the new bus could be used
for special occasions as needed. For instance, could it be used to
take a wheelchair confined relative to a funeral.
A motion was made and seconded to sign the contract with Gatra for
an 18 passenger mini—bus to include space for 2 wheelchairs. The final
details are to be approved by Gale and Bob. The vote was unanimous.
New Business:
DEA Program: Arthur Remillard is replacing Everett Carpenter under
the Elder Corps Volunteer program.
C.O.A. members need to be aware when their terms are running out in
order to file for re—appointment.
Welcome is extended to Joan Secher, new to the board, who is filling
the place left by Judy Cucinotta's expired term.
Election will be held next month. Adjournment at 8:40 p.m.
