New Business Because Gale's illness was a back related problem, it was brought to the attention of the board that certain tasks that Ada and Gale have been doing can no longer be done. Some of:these included maintenance tasks where no maintenance personnel is available, The DPW Department has been notified and was asked to pick up trash from the back of the building instead of the front so that heavy barrels would not have to be carried. A letter to the Town Manager will outline the need to have some type of maintenance personnel for the COA. Other needs in this area is to have someone shovel snow from the front of the door and walk -way so that no accidents occur. Handicapped Advisory Board from the Town was set-up to review the accessibility of the handicapped/disabled to each department. The Director was -not able to attend. The committee report discusses that the COA might consider building modifications; look into private funding DEA Grants for Construction and Private Business. Feasibility for these to happen was questioned and discussed by the COA board: 1. The building at the present time is not owned by the town but rented. 2. Restroom renovations to expand size is not possible due to lack of space and excessive costs. Gale is going to the DEA workshop however and will at that time inquire about using Grant money for renovations of the COA building. Meeting was adjourned at 9:10 PM. , Respectfully submitted, i /
