Hume and Director Gale Farruggia presented our 1987/88 Budget to the Town Manager with some deyailed cost analyses that show the Center providing 8166,000.00 in services while receiving funding of only 864,000.00, The difference being made up in grants andoutright gifts to the Center from outside sources. Gale will report in January on any changes effecting the Center. The Council approved the changes in the bus operation rules that were discussed last month. Among the changes made were a definition of the single Pick -Up station at Cedar Court for all residents therein. Gale reported two bills from the Department of Public Works, one for labor on the GATRA bus brakes and a second one for gravel to level the parking lot in the rear of the Center. It seems that since the town made improvements to the sidewalks and roadway the rear yard is full of water after a rainstorm. We are not responsible for this condition and we did not order the gravel to correct the situation. Gale will send the bill back to the, DPW.
