MANSFIELD COA BOARD MEETING

PRESENT: M.Butler,IJ.Eppes, F.Nilson,;M.Vaisnoris, B.Wood;

Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM.
Motion to approve November Board meeting minutes.
Unanimously 'r approved.
Motion to approve Budget 'Status, Warrants and Treasurer's
Report: $234.00 in the Gift Account. So voted.
DIRECTOR'S REPORT: Flu Clinic '12/29/93 from 4-5PM. Only 100
shots available. Also offered to Police Dept. personnel.'
COA received $500 check from Women of Today, to go to Fuel
Assistance Account. Approximately $8,000 in account to be
used only for emergencies. Monies in account divided:
1/3:`Fuel Asstnce. ;1/3 Travel; 11/3 General 'Fund.
Check for approximately $125.00 expected from D.Ashworth
donating from sale of chocolate to Seniors at COA.`
Special Town Meeting 2/7/94
COA emergency meeting to be scheduled with BES to try to
coordinate all COAs. Gale to report fon outcome.
Gale and Ada to attend Seminar sponsored by Bill Sutherland
Inc. '12/14/93. Re: Day trips,etc. for Seniors.
Approximately 100 persons to attend.
ASST.' DIRECTOR'S REPORT: Van usage: 899.4 miles in, November,
349 'rides on van, '867 signed in.
COA Friends Christmas party 12/16/93
Trip to Belcourt Castle, Newport - big success
OLD BUSINESS: Gale met with clergy of three local churches.
Re:setting up soup kitchen in Mansfield area; will report.
New vehicle for COA is in Taunton awaiting minor
modification for Seniors and handicapped use. Will be
available very soon.
Bulb plantings outside Library/COA temporarily postponed.
Discussion regarding parking spaces for Library/COA when
special activities planned. Gale to provide statistics as to
space usage onvariousdays. Await this information before
making any decisions.
NEW BUSINESS
Finance Committee meeting Jan. 22, 1994 at 11AM. All Board
members are asked to attend.
