R. W. Beck Rate Study
Roger Cotte and John Nelson of R. W. Beck and Associates presented a detailed
review of the retail rate study which proposes incorporating $.035 per KWH
into our base rate to alleviate our cash flow problems with undercollection
on the fuel adjustment.
After considerable discussion Commissioner May suggested leaving the base
rate alone and maintaining a minimum fuel adjustment of $.040. In the event
the fuel adjustment rose it would follow, but it would never fall below the
$.040 minimum. Commissioner Mahana was in favor of incorporating $.010 in
the base rate and having a $.030 minimum fuel adjustment.
No decision was reached and it was decided to table the matter until the
next meeting..
Item 2 (Power Supply Transition) and Item 3 (Reimbursement on Project 6
Feasibility Studies) on the Agenda were also postponed until the next
meeting.
