$750.00 for the purpose of a Job Description and Wage Breakdown. Mr.
O'Hare would send out to approximately 25 Electric Company's a response

BOARD OF LIGHT COMMISSIONERS MEETING CONT
ITEM: Downtown Improvements, by Joseph Zeneski DPW Director
Suggested downtown improvements would range from the South Common
to the Chocolate Factory. The following areas for improvements are:
1. Traffic
2. Parking lot for commuters at Chauncy St.
3. Replacement of High Street Bridge
4. Curbing
5. Sidewalks
6. Drainage
7. Improvements to 106 Lights on No. Main Street
With repairs being down by the DPW this would be the time for the
Electric Department to make the changes. The sidewalks would be
dug up and at this time all the Electric Wires could be put under-
ground. There should be a big saving if it were done at this time.
The total cost fo this project will be $300,000.00 to $400,000.00.
$150,000.00 would come from the Depreciation Fund and the balance
from a short term note.
James Wills questioned if we have the legal power for borrowing
short term notes. John Larch is to look into this matter.
Motion by James Wills, 2nd by Richard D'Onofrio to proceed, subject
to clearance of the legal question.
