(Webb - Sheehan; all in favor) VOTED Stream Cleaning: William Turner, 151 Ware Street, and John Burns, 161 Ware Street, appeared before the Commission to explain their desire to allevaite the problems caused by a stream running through their properties (i.e., mosquitoes, foul odor, muddy, mucky bottom). Acting Chairman Boyden pointed out that this stream, although presently dry, drains approximately 30-40 acres of land, including apartments located at 171 Ware Street. Messrs. Turner and Burns inquired as to the likelihood of the Town installing a culvert to carry this stream. It was the consensus of opinion of the Commissioners that the responsibility for dealing with the problem probably lies with the Turners, the Burnses and their neighbors who drain into this stream. The Commissioners suggested to the gentlemen that they contact the Town DPW to ascertain whether the Town might be able to help with this matter and if they cannot, the next step would be to discuss the situation with their neighbors, formulate a plan for dealing with the problem, such plans, in simple sketch form, to be presented to the Conservation Commission for a Determination of the Applicability of the Wetlands Protection Act. *Tree Cutting: Sandra Smith of Grossman Co. appeared before the Commission to state that she has been trying to get in touch with the people responsible for the unsightly and unsafe situation on the Grossman property off Highland Avenue. Upon receiving Thomas Withee's address and telephone number from the Commission, Ms. Smith informed the Commission that she is firmly convinced that Mr. Withee should clean up this debris and that she would be in touch with Chairwoman Royle by Thursday to apprise the Commission of the results of her conversation with Mr. Withee. *Com.
