Northeast Corridor= Mr. Max Scheider of DeLeuw, Cather/Parsons was pre-
sent to discuss areas of concern regarding possible drainage along the
Northeast Corridor project area. Before issuing a One-year Extension
Permit, the Commissioners felt that certain areas needed further clari-
fication. Mr. Scheider explained that there is very little flow along
the Cabot, Cabot & Forbes Industrial Park stretch of the 495 overpass,
,,nd that most of the ditches along this area have been improved. There
is no work being done by them at the culvert near Hodges Brook at Elm
Street, and minor deletions, in anything, have been made on the project,
not additions,
MOTION: To grant a One-year Extension to Northeast Corridor.

Canoe River Estates - Sharon= George Wey, Town Engineer, attended the on-
site inspection of Canoe River Estates scheduled by the state on Thurs-
day, November 18, 1982. After walking the proposed 102 -acre subdivision,
he stated that he felt that the wetlands were more extensive on-site than
illustrated in the plans drawn by Norwood Engineering. He also expressed
concern over possible drainage of on-site sewerage into Mansfield's Canoe
River Watershed area, It was decided that a letter be sent to DEQE stating
the above-mentioned concerns and urging that an Environmental Impact Stu-
dy be required by the developer, also requesting copies of any decisions
made by DEQE and/or MEPA regarding this project.( copies to go to the Sharon
and Foxboro Conservation Commissions),
It was also mentioned to Mr. Wey by Dave Risch, Director of the Foxboro
Conservation Commission, that in the event that this proposed subdivision
does not go through and the 102 acres is for sale, that the possibility
of Sharon, Foxboro, and Mansfield becoming a trust in order to buy this
parcel as conservation land, thus protecting our respective water sup-
plies, should be considered,
*Commissioner Bonvie left the meeting at this time.
Appletree Diner - Revised Plans: As requested at the Hearing for Apple -
tree Realty Trust, Ralph Maloon of RIM Engineering brought in a revised
plan for the proposed diner, now showing a 1,000 gallon grease trap, an
open drainage ditch instead of 18 -inch drainpipe, and a 4 -inch under -
drain in case groundwater rises. An Order of Conditions could not be
issued at this time as there was no quorum.

Appletree/Copeland Realty_ Trust - Revised Plans: As requested at the
Hearing for Appletree Copeland Realty Trust for the installation of a
12 -inch sewer line from Creeden Street to Chauncy Street, Ralph Maloon
of RIM Engineering submitted a revised plan now showing the "either/or"
method discussed at the hearing whereby, instead of poured concrete
under the sewer pipes at the brook crossing, two 15 -inch pipes be put
around the sewer pipes to act as sleeves and aid in preventing breakage.
Mr. Maloon informed the Commission that the method to be used is still
undecided. An Order of Conditions could not be issued at this time as
there was no quorum.
