March 14, 1983 letter from Town Counsel regarding the Kane gift of land. Deed preparation cannot begin without precise metes and bounds, the land should be surveyed by a bonded engineering firm, an easement would have to be obtained from the Town of Easton for access, and there is an outstanding tax bill for the year 1982. In short, it was Town Counsel's opinion that it would not be in the best interest of the Town of Mansfield to accept this gift of land at present.
