Fisher Parcel
Chairwoman Royle received a call from Jim McIntyre, Attorney
for the Fisher:the
, who stated he could not prepare the deed with
State planhe was given because the plan does not specifically
state the meteand bounds -of the 36 -acre parcel. It was suggested
by former Town Counsel that Attorney McIntyre gather the deeds
using the State Plan and have an engineer set the metes and bounds.
Attorney McIntyre suggested that there be a survey conducted on
the 36 -acre parcel, however, the cost of a survey would be
considerable to the Town. Chairwoman Royle mentioned that past
purchases in the Great Woods bad not been surveyed. The Commission
will continue to try to find an attorney to write the deed language'
hoping to avoid a survey. Another problem raised was that the
Fishers are giving only 30 of the 36 acres to the town and the
question was raised as how to delineate which 6 acres they wish
to retain. It was also stated the Fishers are paying for the
r
deed preparation and that Attorney McIntyre has not done a title
search.
