Joseph Mannarino, Planning Director, stated that the Town of
Mansfield has narrowed down to two parcels that will qualify
under the Aquifer Land Acquisition Program. These parcels
are in the Dustin Well area (Zone 2). They are the Wendell
Jackson land off of East Street (Lot 22) and the Joe Gonsalves
land off of East Street (Lot 20). Both sites are open and
have no development on them. The land owners have been
approached and a verbal agreement has been made to purchase
the land. A binder will be obtained. This area pumps 20%
of Mansfield's water..Under the Aquifer.Land Acquisition
Program, the sites have to be in Zone 2, therefore, it was
not possible to consider the Baravella property which is in
Zone 3. The deadline for the application is October 31, 1983.
