A few concerned residents came to the Commission with questions
about the Wetlands Protection Act and what would fall under the
jurisdiction of the Conservation Commission. They were told that
the project would fall under our jurisdiction because wetlands
were on site. It was also mentioned that this area is within
a water supply and protection district, and a special permit
would have to be obtained by the applicant from the Planning
Board. This permit would require a two-thirds or three-fourths
vote. If the permit was not granted, the applicant could appeal.
The residents were concerned with the potential harmful affect
on our water supply.
