Board of Trustees Meeting
November 2, 1985
Meeting called to order by Chairman Sal.achi. at 9103 a.m. with all mem-
bers present.
The secretary's and treasurer's reports were both accepted as read,
Re: Correspondence - The letter to Mrs. Williams about her Mansfield
property has finally been approved by Town Counsel and will be mailed.
ABLE, INC. - Mrs. Amsden reported that there have been lengthy meetings
on Friday afternoons. They are working on a point system for evalua-
ting the proposal. With a total of 400 points, a vendor must receive
60% to be considered further. RFD's are due back by November 29, 1985.
Staff Schedule - Staff was opposed to any schedule changes. Board re-
viewed comments and proposed a new schedule of hours. On a motion by
Mrs. Seifert, seconded by Mrs. Horton, the new schedule of hours was
voted, to be effective on January 6, 1986.
New Hours will be: Monday 12 -• 8
Tuesday, 4dednesday,
Thursday 1.0 - 8
Friday, Saturday 10 , 5
Rea handicapped ramp and access - Mrs. Amsden will put information
into the 'central register about the chair elevator_.
Mr. Salachi and Mrs. Amsden will be associate members of. the Municipal
Building Committee regarding new library space.
MLTA Convention no trustees attended.
Friends of thelibrary program , On November 1, 1985 they are sending
out dues solicitations. A donation has been made towards a microfiche
reader/printer. Friends will have a program on Gaspe on November 15,
1985.
Re: Holiday hours the board agreed to nullify their_ previous vote
of October 5, 1985, and change the closing hour on Christmas Eve and
New Year's Eve to 3:00 p.m.
Capital Budget - 3 items listed.
1. New Library
2. New roof on this building. Presently
there is a leak over the reference room

Chrismas Buffet for all library staff, trustees, etc. will be held on
December 3, 1985 at 11;30 a.m, at the Mansfield Sheraton.

Mrs. Amsden reported that the Town Manager requests a monthly narra�
ti.ve from each department head to give to the Selectmen.
Next meeting will be held December 7, 1985.
