MANSFIELD COUNCIL ON AGING q ;} e.
JOINT MEETING -DECEMBER 4, 1999
A joint meeting was convened at 10:05 a.m. in the Certuse Room of the Mansfreld
Library. Attendance on behalf of the library included Nancy Breef-Pitz, Chris Cormier Hayes,
Leonard Epstein, and Joseph Flynn. The Director, Leslie Pasch, was also present. The Council
on Aging was represented by Sonya Walgreen, Eileen Flint, Donna Harrington, Mary Butler, and
Benny Boynton. The Director, Gail Farrugia, was also present.
Halloween, Neither organization experienced suffered any incidents and Leslie reported
that the library has had no problems with vandalism in the last 6 months.
Parking, The COA continues to receive complaints of insufficient parking.
Fence, Joe inquired about the plan to put a fence up behind the library. The fields are
scheduled to be opened next year. The new parking area will include only about 25 new spaces,
and the area will be unpaved (gravel).
Meeting room, HVAC issues were noted. There are disparate requirements for the
meeting room heat because exercise groups want it cool and bingo players want it warmer. The
thermostat is locked. Benny recommended installation of ceiling fans and will investigate
feasibility and cost. Benny also raised questions concerning cleanliness. Leslie reported that,
historically, any group which has left any kind of mess has corrected the behavior when it has
been brought to their attention.
The joint meeting was adjourned at 10:20 a.m.
