Planning Director Maurer met with the Cormaission to discuss plans for
the proposed subdivision off South Main and Fruit Streets.9 to be called
Woodland Park. He told the Commission that the owners proposed to
relocate a portion of Back Bay Brook in order to have 6 more buildable
lots. Some of the Commission members who had been at the site to see
if any land was wet said that parts were wet, and Planning Director
Maurer suggested that this be walked with the plans so that the exact
location of any wet spots would be pinpointed. Also discussed were
the other requirements to be met by the subdivision for other Boards,
and the zoning of certain industrial parcels in the subdivision. Mr.
Maurer advised the Commission of the Public Hearing on this November 19
and suggested that the Commission send a representative to the hearing.
Signs for Maple Park were discussed. Robert Jones will see 'about
having the signs made showing the rules and regulations for the park area.
Snowmobiles in the Great Woods area were discussed. Commission members
agreed that since much of this was private property. the vehicles should
not be let in.
Paul Boyden reported on the Audubon course topic recently discussed at
the 'seminar - whether or not to allow the lowering of the water table
in a'given area.
