College and inquired about conference space; and set up a Canoe

VIII. Formation of Subcommittees and Organizational Group to
HELP CRAAC
Mrs. Sozio noted one of the recommendations of the IEP
report was to solicit expert help from the communities.
Suggested establishing sub -committees or friends of Canoe River.
Pat Winter reported on special legislative committees in
the Commonwealth and noted she asked Mr. Southworth -to come to
Boston to talk to the Commission on Growth. What we tried to
impress upon the commission is the fact that the State has to
support organizations such as yours.
Mr. Southworth noted we have filed legislation involving
used motor oil and have solicited support from many politicians.

Pat Winter also mentioned that the Commission on Growth has
formed a sub -committee to study reorganization of regions. This
is something the CRAAC would want right of choice in.
Ms. Winter also stated her land abuts the Canoe River and
she would be willing to follow CRAAC legislation but would need a
vote by the Committee.
Mr. Southworth clarified by asking - Ms. Winter would like
a vote of this Committee to accept her free services. Mr. Hardin
so moved and Mr. Tartufo seconded. Vote was unanimous.
