III. SPRING AWARENESS DAY RECAP
Despite the weather, there was a good turn out of approximately
fifty people. Five canoe trips were made up the river.
Members discussed moving the date up a couple of weeks and
changing the location. The consensus was to look at new
places to hold the day. In January or February a subcommittee
should be formed to look at different locations along the river.
Red Mill Road area is one possibility.
Mansfield Fish and Game would like to adopt the section of `
Canoe River where they are located. They would like some
publicity. They want to improve their image. It was
suggested by Ed Tartufo that Maria Van Dusen make the presenta-
tion at a Mansfield Selectmen's meeting.in.September. The
Selectmen's meeting is on cable TV and is covered by the
local newspapers. This will provide publicity for the Mansfield
Fish and Game and the Adopt -a -Stream program.
IV. FUTURE AWARENESS DAYS
Wayne Southworth mentioned that Stonehill College is available
for use on the same idea as Wheaton College. It was suggested

to charge for the meals only. There was some discussion on
the type of conference to hold for the Winter Awareness Day.

local college for full time town personnel.
Greg McGregor was mentioned as a possible speaker. Mr. McGregor
has offered his services free in the past to CRAAC.
Conclusions of the discussion were:
