Erickson, Kathy Romero, Dick Lewis.
I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 1:00 P.M. A motion
was made to accept the minutes of June 6, 1991 as
written. The motion was passed.
II. LESLIE LUCHONOK - A.C.E.C. MAP DISTRIBUTION
The maps are more illustrative than sight specific.
Dick Lewis asked if the individual communities could get
larger scale maps of their respective areas. It can be
done, however, there may be some cost associated with
this. Leslie asked if the Towns could review the maps
and put any requests in a letter.
A goal for the D.E.P. is to publish a set of guidelines
for Chapter 91.
III. SOLE SOURCE AQUIFER DESIGNATION
Several questions concerning this designation were
raised. Would getting this designation be worth while?
Is this just an addition to our resume'? Could we
be eligible to receive Federal monies with this
designation? What are the benefits?
Leslie responses to the questions were: Yes, it would
be worth while. It could help the Town if it needed to
override a big project. It would be more than just an
addition to your resume' it could help with being
eligible for Federal monies if all the other guidelines
Canoe River Aquifer Advisory Committee 8-1-91 pg. 2
required by the Government are met. By applying for
the State designation most of the work required for the
Federal designation has been completed.
It was decided by the committee to talk to individuals
from areas in this class to get their opinion. This
subject will be put on a future agenda.

The Town of Easton has formed a Land Use Coalition to

or wait until the landowner loses the property for
taxes.
