June 1, 1995
Minutes of the Canoe River Aquifer Advisory Committee Meeting on Thursday,
June 1, 1995 at Norton Library Conference Room.
Members Present - Wayne P. Southworth, Bill Hardin, Suzanne Erikson, Dave
Masciarelli, Ed Tartufo, John Grant
Bill Hardin motioned to accept Minutes of May 4, 1995 Meeting; Suzanne Erikson
seconded.
The First Item discussed was our Video Project. Suzanne Erikson presented some aerial
photos taken by Lynn White of the Canoe River. Wayne felt these could be used in the
Video.
Wayne reported that Paul Wollenhaupt (D.P.W. Director of Easton) was willing to assist
us with the Easton Continental Cable Station in producing the Video.
The next Item was the Review of the Canoe River Awareness Day held on May 13, 1995
at Greeley's Pond in Foxboro.
Joan Sozio felt that we would have had a better turnout if the weather was better.
Dave Masciarelli mentioned how informative Bill Hocking was in giving the tour.
The Committee felt we received good press coverage from the event.
Bill Hardin volunteered a small tent for next years Awareness Day.
An Agenda Item for the next Meeting will be to discuss a location for the 9th Annual
Awareness Day in May 1996.
The Committee discussed having Joan Kimball work with us to develop a workshop for
Shoreline Surveys.
The Committee requested that Joan Kimball attend our next meeting to discuss this
workshop. Joan Sozio will contact Joan Kimball.
A Discussion of Ideas for the 10th Annual Anniversary in 1996

• Invite all Elected Officials
• Present and Former State Representatives and Senators

Old Business
Suzanne Erikson will attend the MA. Watershed Coalition Workshop on June 22, 1995
with the desire to have them develop a program for our Committee.
The Annual Election of Officers will be at the next meeting on:
August 3, 1995
at the Foxborough Town Hall
John Grant motioned to adjourn at 3:OOp.m. - seconded by Bill Hardin.
