Cr;
III. (aRRCYORY MEISTER — REGIONAL WATER CONSERVATION — Greg Meister v i
began by discussing different plans to help with conserving water. Everyone agreed it
was an important matter that needs further discussion. Suggestions ranged from
stricter water bans, step rate increases, working with the planning boards on lot
regulations, and educating people. A water conservation workshop is coming up in
Ipswich, and Wayne suggested we may want to follow such a format and plan a
seminar. It would be important to bring in some people who have knowledge in water
conservation to answer questions on sprinkler system and how much watering is
needed. An educational seminar and water bans will be further discussed closer to the
summer season.
IV. SUZANNE ERICKSON — JOHNSON ACRES UPDATE — Suzanne Erickson at this
point needs people to speak on behalf of purchasing the land when they approach the
board.
V. UPDATE ON CREEEN13ELT PROJECT - The G.I.S. information is about 2/3 done.
Some data was misplaced regarding Foxboro's information. Once this information is
retrieved they will be able to finish up. Hoping for some kind of presentation at the
next meeting. Leonard Flynn has a disk and book with source funding information.
The information explains how to obtain grants step by step. He has been given
permission to copy the book and one set will be passed on to Moe for further viewing.
VI. ANNUAL AWARENESS DAY— SATURDAY, MAY 15, 1999
CANOE RIVER CA MPCYROUNDS — MANSFIELD — Camp is secured for May 15 and
the owner said he would speak in regards to the history of the location. He has also
given us permission to use the canoes and rowboat he has. A location to obtain
refreshments needs to be established. Speakers to have at Awareness Day needs to be
planned.
VII. LEONARD FLYNN — PROPOSED CARE & CONTROL ACYREEMENF FOR 1$0
ACRES ALONG NORTON RTE. #495 — Leonard Flynn thought it was all ready for
approval, but a change in staff members has left the paperwork sitting on someone's
desk. They need to bring it in front of Mass Highway for another vote. Leonard Flynn
received some paperwork back, but it appears to be confused with other land
information, he is waiting for a call back to take care of the situation.
\VIII. ANNUAL REPORT REVIEW — Annual report passed around to all members for
review. Corrections made throughout meeting, along with notes, and given back to
Wayne Southworth.

regarding wetland restoration and proposed budget information. An agenda was given
