TOWN OF MANSFIELD
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
March 21, 1992
The meeting was called to order at 9:15 AM.
,.Members present were:
Mo Prasad, Doug Ronald, Bruce Glazer, Vicki Prasad.
Bill August (of the firm of Howard Horton) was also present.
Jay Goldman joined meeting at 9:30 AM; Joe Pasquale at 9:40 AM.
Mr. August presented his views of the results of his focus group meeting with
Town officials. Town agencies want greater participation in "access" activities.
Mr. August then went over the draft report of survey findings. The levels of
cable customer dissatisfaction and the degree to which local programming has
opened up town government were two of the more significant findings.
Doug Ronald presented a bill for $ 23.25 - expenses related to Committee work.
Motion to approve payment (Joe Pasquale/Vicki Prasad). Passed 6-0 in favor.
The committee discussed letter received from the Sharon Cable Committee.
Some discussion of possible conflict as a result of Access Board members being
on Committee; most members stated that they saw no reason to change.
Bill August will proceed with Town Manager on arranging to present final
survey results to Board of Selectmen in a public hearing.
Discussion on the absence of renewal proposal from CVI; Chairman will send
another letter to CVI asking for definite date.
Motion to send letter to Representative Markey inviting him to a. meeting to
address concerns regarding Senate bill S12 and to include Howard Horton ..
(Jay Goldman / Doug Ronald). Passed 6-0 in favor.
Motion to adjourn (Doug Ronald / Joe Pasquale) at 11:40 AM. Passed unanimously.
