Mansfield Cultural Council
INPUT MEETING
Town Hall
7:30 p.m.
In Attendance:
Shirley Amoruso-Treasurer, Carolyn Conway -Co -Chairman, Diane Giordano -Co -Chairman &
Dianne Scorch i I li-Secretary
This meeting was posted and open to the general public. It was an information
Meeting for anyone who had questions about our Cultural Council and/or grant
Submission. The meeting was closed @ 8:00p.m. due to the fact that no one
Attended.
8:00p.m. - A general meeting of the Council took place. We discussed the amount
of money allotted to us by the State through Senator Sprague. $2,640.00
We also have money not used, for previously approved grants, in the amount of
$1,600.00 for a total amount of $4,240.00 to be granted this year.
Shirley and Dianne attended a meeting on 9/11/03 of the Massachusetts Cultural
Council at the Brockton Public Library outlining the New Year and introducing the Online
Office. The MCC speaker was a Ms. Janna Swartz (617) 727-3668 Ext. 269. Itis their
Hope that all councils will be submitting grants totally online by the 2004 grant cycle.

All grants need to be submitted by October 15'h, 2003 for consideration for this grant
Cycle. It was suggested that we have a computer put our disposal to accomplish our online
Work. All councils in the State have their own E -Mail address. Mr. Daniel Hunter of
MASH was the guest, speaker. He spoke to us about building communities through culture.
To accomplish this we were instructed to write our. State Senators to thank them for the i
money that we received and to ask for more!
As a council we need to recruit new members. To accomplishthis we all need to take an
Active part. We will send out notices.

Diane will go online and update our email member information. We need to confirm by
September 22"d to use the online office.` Shirley will speak to Sandy in the Town
Accountant's Office to obtain an accurate accounting of our funds with interest.
Shirley will also call and find out the feasibility of getting a computer/laptop with access to
a printer from the Town.

Blue 2000
Red 2001
Yellow 2002
Green 2003
Blue 2004
Red 2005
Yellow 2006
Green 2007 etc.

OUR NEXT MEETING is October 20, 2003 @ 7:00p.m.
RECONSIDERATION MEETING tentatively planned for November 17, 2003 @ 7:00p.m.
